 | My 11 year old son had his tonsils removed two days ago. He had been suffering from tonsil stones a while. He has good dental hygiene and brushes two-three times a day as well as brushes his tongue and mouthwash. The dr said he was full of tonsil stones as he was removing them.  | I get tonsil curds....as I've called them for 50 years....they are food particles that get stuck in the tonsil pits. Bits of lobster, shrimp or crab are the worst. They stink anyway after 24 hours, imagine them rotting with saliva in a deep warm pit of a tonsil for a few days. Usually on a trip where you are in close quarters with a lived one. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that these people do not brush their tongues nor gargle! A tonsil stone is made of ROTTEN FOOD stuck in those pockets of the tonsil. How do we remove food from our mouths? How to we clean r mouths? Each one of these ppl seen in these clips has built up plaque and gunk on the back of their tongues when that's the most important part of the tongue to brush!!
